Joyce E Hansey, 74, of Rockford died at 7:55 pm Sunday, Aug 6, 2000, in her home after a three-month illness. Born Feb 9, 1926, in Duluth, Minn, daughter of Morris and Mildred Lanches Hansey. She was employed as a cabinet maker at General Electric Co for 35 years, retiring in 1974. Survivors include sisters Marge Howard of Rockford, Peggy Heller of Westland, Mich, Gloria (Leo) Johnson and Darlene Bagwell of Rockford; and 18 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents.
Services at 11 am Wednesday, Aug 9 in Riverside Community Church, 6816 N Second St, with the Rev William Richard Kerr Sr officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday Aug 8, in Sundberg Funeral Home Ltd, 215 N Sixth St, and 10 am to service time Wednesday in the church. Memorial to be established. The family would like to thank Carolyn and Carol of Northern Illinois Hospice for their special care and all the nieces and nephews for their support.
