"Mrs. Emma Owstan [sic] died last Thursday at her home in Connecticut. Deceased was the widow of the late N.F. Owston (note: he was still living) and the daughter of Mrs. Sarah Merriman of 1349 Walnut Street of this city. She formerly resided here and was a well-known and respected lady. Her death was caused by pneumonia [sic – death certificate has peritonitis]. The remains were brought to McKeesport and the funeral will take place from the home of her mother at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon; interment in the Versailles Cemetery."
