COLLYER - Louis Herman Berens, 78, died Dec. 3, 1985, at Trego County Hospital, WaKeeney. Born May 8, 1907, at Walker, he married Rose M. Hazelhorst, Oct. 16, 1928 at Vincent.

He was a retired farmer and rancher, and was a resident of Collyer for 1 year. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Collyer and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, WaKeeney.

Survivors: wife, of the home; son, Robert, WaKeeney; daughters, Gloriann Goodman, Ness City, Mary Lou Goetz, WaKeeney, Darlene Stenzel, Pittsburg, Joan Deges, Aurora, Cob., Karen Coons, Springfield, Vt; brothers, Fidelis, Plainville, Ben, La Crosse, Victor, Quinter, Elmer, Victoria; sisters, Theckla Haas, Hays, Irene Dinkel, Victoria; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, Father Edmund Weigel. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at Hendricks Funeral Home, WaKeeney. Memorials to the church. Parish prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
