The second death to occur from influenza during the past week was that of John Tolman of Fairview, which occurred last Monday. Mr Tolman contracted the disease while in Omaha with a shipment of cattle.
He made the trip back to Star Valley while suffering with the disease, and rode from Montpelier to the valley on horse-back in a rain storm, not knowing at the time what ailed him. Mr Tolman's death is extremely sad owing to the fact that he leaves a wife and fourteen children.
Interment took place in the Fairview cemetery last Tuesday.
