Herbert A. Sheriff, 78, who operated a real estate and insurance agency in the Northside for 62 years, died Thursday in his home at 2505 Perrysville Ave., Northside. He was a member of numerous Masonic bodies. He also was a veteran of World War IL Surviving are his wife, Isabell Haigler Sheriff; two stepdaughters, Harriet Sorokes and Susan Haught, real estate broker three sisters; and a brother. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. at the G.S. Simons Funeral Home, Inc., 2025 Perrysville Ave., Northside. Masonic services will be held there at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Regular services will be offered Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery.
