Absalom was the son of Elizabeth Carr and Richard Ashcraft. Absalom married Hariet. Absalom was a victim of fever. (Per notes of 1930 cemetery reading by Frances Shacklett Fast and others.)

Further details: On Dec. 12, 1813 Absalom married Hariet Wimp. Hariet died in 1814. On Aug. 6, 1818 Absalom was married to Delilah Allen. On Aug. 14, 1857 Delilah married James Hardesty.
