Funeral services for Minard H. Power, 81, a retired Louisville farmer, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Phillips Memorial Home and burial was made at the Louisville Cemetery. The Rev. Charles H. Lampard, pastor of the Louisville Community Church, officiated. Mr. Power died Friday, April 10, 1970, in the hospital at Orlando, Fla., after declining health throughout the winter. He and Mrs. Power resided at Tavares, Fla.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Letitia Matthews Power; one son, Ivan Power, Massena and two daughters, Mrs. Leon (Irene) P. Dickerson, Ossining and Mrs. Hiram (Alice) Sutton, Winthrop; one brother, Robert Power, Louisville and one sister, Mrs. George (Hazel) Browning, Louisville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Power was born August 15, 1888, a descendant of early Louisville families. He attended district schools and in early life, he married Miss Ethel Jones, Chase Mills. The three children were born to that union. Sometime, after her death, he married Miss Letitia Matthews.

For some years, Mr. and Mrs. Power spent the winters in Florida and their summers in Louisville. However, during the past 13 years, they have remained in Florida, throughout the year. Mr. Power was a member of Louisville Community Church.
