Charles B. Allen, 68, Grandview, Ind., Route 1, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Brown, 800 Booth Ave., at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, following a two weeks illness. Mr. Allen had engaged in farming near Grandview for the last six years. He was born in Hart County, Ky., Feb. 22, 1884. Mr. Allen formerly resided in the Philpot
section of Daviess County. He was a member of the Hampton Methodist Church for the last 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Bell Allen, four daughters, Mrs. Sam Barnett, Buford, Mrs. Lafayette Fulkerson, Utica, Route 5, Mrs. George Brown and Mrs. Donald Skulley, five sons, Elmer, and Buford, all of Owensboro, David and Leslie, both of Grandview, Sam, of Georgetown, Ind., 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Kassinger, Owensboro, Mrs. Anna Pilton, Louisville, two brothers, Bormer, of Owensboro, Lee of Utica. The body was taken to the Owensboro Funeral Home, 734 Frederica St.
