Oscar was the son of Oscar Earl and Ethel Workman Tippett, Sr. He married Betty June Montgomery Tippett in 1948 in Albion; she passed away in 2002. A son and daughter, Jim and Judith, also preceded him in death. Mr. Tippett was a retired welder from Catepillar in Peoria after 31 yrs. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of Petersburg Four Square Church. Survived by son, Robert (Linda), Tippett, Sr., three daughters, Phyllis (Alan)Flynn (Memorial # 32566162), Cheryl (Randy) Hadfield and Sandra (Daniel) DeVore; eleven grandchildren and 18 g-grandchildren; four brothers, Donald (TX), Jack (CA), Robert and Paul (MS); and four sisters, Ester Alguire (FL), Beverly Savage (AZ), Eileen Hall and Joan Papas.
