Mary Scow Coon, 88, passed away September 7, 2008 at the Richfield Care Center of an age related illness. She is finally in the arms of her loving husband. She was born December 21, 1919 in Deseret, Utah, to Alfred and Annie Bradshaw Scow. She was the third of nine children. The family moved to Hurricane where she went to school and was raised.

She married Jess Willard Coon )1915-1970) September 4, 1936. They had two children: Linda Coon Blake and Larry J. Coon.
Mary enjoyed deer hunting and rock hunting. She traveled to Cedar City to bowl weekly. She was a race horse fan. She crochet beautiful doilies, afghans, and dolls. She worked and retired from Zions Bank. She also worked at Panguitch Lake Lodge just to be with her friends.

Mary is survived by six grandchildren: Michael (Vickie) Blake, Debbie (Randal) Bridges, Steven Blake, Doug (Linda) Blake, Diana (Mark) Jensen, Jeffrey (Jamie) Coon; brother: RL Scow; sisters: Anna Bowler, Thanelda (Gilbert) Reeves, EldaRae (Deloyd) Hammond.

She was preceded in death by: parents, husband, son, daughter, granddaughter: Sherry Coon, and two great-granddaughters; sister, Myrle Campbell; three brothers, Mansel Scow, Glen Scow, Estelvin Scow.
Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 13, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Panguitch Stake Center (550 S. 100 W.) Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary Richfield, Salina and Manti.

The family extends a special thanks to the special nurses and staff at the Richfield Care Center, her special roommate Sharon Mackay, Dr. Brown and all others who were involved in her care throughout the years.
