Richard ''Doug'' Overman, 79, Bradenton, died Feb. 14, 1998.

He was born April 14, 1918, in Eagletown, Ind., and came to Bradenton 53 years ago from there. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and retired from the industrial glass division of Tropicana Products Inc. He was a member of St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church.

Survivors include his wife, Amegda J.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, and will be accompanied by a Trisagion service at 7 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be in Skyway Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5899 Whitfield Ave., Suite 200, Sarasota, FL 34243, or to the Freedom Village Scholarship Fund, 6501 17th Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34209.
