EDWARD EGBERT BALDWIN
---Edward E. Baldwin, son of Alanson and Mary (Miller) Baldwin, was born near Graysville, Ohio on June 22, 1855 and died March 4, at the home of his daughter, Blanche Webber west of Atlanta, at the age of eighty-eight years, six months and twelve days.
---Funeral services were held at the D.S. Christie Funeral Home in La Plata Monday, conducted by Rev. L.R. Thompson of Fayette, Missouri.
---Mr. Baldwin came to Missouri when twenty-two years of age and spent most of his life in and near La Plata.
---On January 27, 1881 he was united in marriage to Ida Buck. To this union three daughters were born, Grace dying in infancy, Mrs. Maud Joiner who died July 2, 1943 and Mrs. Blanche Webber. His wife preceded him in death about twenty years ago.
---He became a christian early in life and was a member of the Brethern Church at Union Ridge as long as the church convened.
---He leaves to mourn his loss besides his daughter, Mrs. Blanche Webber, a twin brother, Edwin east of Atlanta; two granddaughters, Mrs. Claud Wright of Waukee, Iowa and Mrs. Arnold Long of La Plata; five grandsons, Edward E. Joiner with the Merchant Marines, Clay Joiner, Macon, Missouri, Oscar and James Webber of Atlanta and Pvt. Thomas F. Joiner, oversees; eleven great-grandchildren and other relatives. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery.
