Maxwell Leroy Harvey,66,died Monday, June 27,2005 in his home surrounded by his close family. He was born October,13,1938, in Hamilton County. He is the son of the late Emmett Harvey and Mary Hardin Harvey Dotson. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sybil Harvey,Step father: Isaac Dotson, sister:Beatrice Rogers and brother:William(Mark) Harvey.
Maxwell has lived in Graysville most of his life. He was employeed as an electrician with TVA at Watts Bar and he served his country with the US NAVY.
Survivors include his four children,Debra Gentry of Graysville, Robert(little man)Harvey of Graysville, Step daughter Sharon Root of East Brainerd and step son Lee Moore of Hixson; four brothers Edward Harvey of Chattanooga,Howard Harvey of Phoenix,AZ; Bruce Harvey of Murfreesboro,TN; and Carl Harvey of Amarillo TX; Four grandchildren, Shasta Harvey of Graysville, Jeff Gentry of Sale Creek, Monica of Chattanooga and Danielle of Chattanooga; and one great grand son Blake (Harvey)Ray of Graysville,TN.
Funeral Services for Maxwell will be at 11am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with pastor Jimmy Talley and Sister Opal Scott officiating.
Burial will be in Rhea Memorial Gardens with full Military honors followed by a white dove release.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton,TN where they will receive friends after 5pm today.
