Robert was the son of Charles William Yearian/Bosworth and his 2nd wife, Alta Blanch Bolyard.
He married to Neva Jean Duvall. They had no children.

Robert Lee Bosworth died in an automobile accident at Virginia State Route 2 and 17, Spotsylvania County, Virginia, while residing in Colonial Beach, Virginia. Robert and Neva raised his brother's children, Eric Randall Bosworth, Sr., and David Alan Bosworth.
