FRANKFORT - Leon "Spud" Walker, 60, died at 10:30 AM Saturday, Aug. 30, 1975, in the Clinton County Hospital following an illness of two weeks.

Born in Boone County, Mr. Walker had resided in Frankfort the past 17 years. His marriage in 1940 was to Ruth Anna Evans and she survives.

Mr. Walker was a former employee of the Clinton County Farm Bureau, was a manager of the Terhune Elevator and had been employed at the Pickett Poultry Co. of Sheridan.

Surviving with his widow are a son, Larry Lee Walker of Lebanon; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Johnson of Kirklin, Mrs. Lucille Gallagher, Mrs. Dorothy Sears, both of Sheridan, and Mrs. Jewell Vandeveder of Tipton; a brother, Clark Walker of Whitestown; and two grandchildren.

A sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Services Sept. 3 in Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, the Rev. George Smith officiating; internment Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
