Darrel Stock Allred is the son of Medwin Newton Allred and Maria Josephine Stock
The death of Darrell allred at the LDS Hospital at salt Lake City, on Monday March the 18th, terminated a carrier which had been a sad onefor the past 18 months.Darrel Allred, of Fairview Wyo. was taken sick in the fall of 1910 while returning from a trip to Utah after fruit and was unable to travel further than Paris, Idaho.
His mother went out and nursed him, but he got no better, and at times was at deaths door. He was operated upon and an abscess of the lung discovered. He railed and was brought home, and for a time it was hoped tht he would outgrow his trouble, and he nade a brave attempt to fight off the disease, for a time.
He got worse again and was taken to Salt Lake City where he went through the Temple, and received his endowments. Then he went to the LDS Hospital and was operated upon and all thought that he was doing nicely, until word came that he was dead.
Darrell was 10 years of age. His widowed mother, eight brothers and all who knew him mourn his loss.
He was one of the noble characters of the earth, patience in suffering, gentle of disposition,noble in aim, and unwilling to cause trouble.
His body was brought to Fairview for burial.

The funeral of Darrel Allred was held Thursday afternoon at 1 p.ml. The choir furnished good music, and Mrs. Thomas Hood & Mrs. Geo Millward sang as a duet, "Unanswered Yet". The speakers were Orlando Barrus, Press. Osmond and Bishop Barrus.
And they lauded the character of the departed boy. There were very many flowers on the casket. His six brothers acted as pallbearers. There was a very large crowd in attendance.
