Etta Remmert,86,formerly of 150 Yordy Rd.,died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, May 9,1993, at Rosewood Care Center in E.Peoria,IL.
Born Nov. 17,1906,in Secor,IL.to Henry and Margaret Everding Seggerman,she married August H. Remmert on April 20,1926 in Secor. He died Oct. 17, 1972 in Peoria,IL. One son,one daughter,three brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons,Gerald H. of Morton,Leland of Tremont,and Wesley of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs.Gene (Laverda) Buckman of Pekin and Mrs.Ken (Edith) Roach of Morton; two sisters, Johanna Keitzmann of Varna and Rosalie Fortman of Minonk; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She worked at Morton Pottery for 25 years and later was a cook at Grimm Truck Stop in Morton.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Remmert Funeral Home in E.Peoria. The Rev. Charles Simonson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens,Pekin. Memorials can be made to her church.
