F, 3rd Iowa Infantry; promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on September 1, 1862; wounded in the right knee on July 12, 1863, at Jackson, MS, and was taken prisoner but paroled; promoted to Lt Colonel on July 8, 1864. KIA on July 21, 1864, at Atlanta, GA.
