Alexander Long was the son of
Isaac Long 1 and Rebecca "Rowland"
Perkins Long. He was the grandson
of Rev.George W. Long 1 and
Nancy 'Elizabeth' Maples Long.

Alex and his first wife, Rebecca
"Cooper" Long were the parents of
the following children in order:
David
William
Louis
Benjamin
Eliza
Casander
Albert
They were married about 1868 in
Arkansas.

Alex married Sarah "Haney" on
March 3, 1886, Stone County,
Arkansas. This was after the death
of Rebecca. Alex and Sarah had
at least one child, a daughter,
Mary Viola Long. Alex's brother,
Andrew was married to Sarah's
younger sister, Mariah. The sisters
were the daughters of John Haney
and Mariah Haney.

Alex's mother, Rebecca and several
of his sibblings are buried in a "Long"
Cemetery, Stone Co., Arkansas.
This is located near their old farm
homeplace in Arkansas. His father,
Isaac Long I, served in the Union,
during the Civil War with a unit in
Missouri. Isaac died at the hospital
in St. Louis, Missouri and is buried
in the Jefferson Barracks National
Cemetery, in St. Louis.

Further research is being done at
this time on Alex and his family.
