Miss Addie Pearl Oates, age 87, of Rusk, formerly of Weldon, passed away April 11 in Rusk. She was born in Polk County on May 27, 1892. Miss Oates had lived in Rusk for the past 13 years.
Survivors include a brother, Jake Oates of Austin; sisters, Mrs. Allie McCarley of Kilgore and Mrs. Ivy Belle Ingram of Rusk; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, April 12 at 4 p.m. in the Weldon Cemetery with Rev. Ray Fairchild officiating. Interment following in the Weldon Cemetery.
Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
