Margaret was the daughter of John and Mary Foreman of Bourbon County, Kentucky. She married James Strode on October 23, 1791 in Bourbon County. He was the son of John and Mary "Polly" (Boyle) Strode of Strode's Station, Clark County, Kentucky. James passed away in 1829 when they were in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee. The widowed Margaret came to Jackson County, Missouri and lived with her son Charles Edward's family.
