Aaron Foreman, Sr. along with Aaron Foreman, Jr., Joseph Foreman, Edward Whaley, and David Adams explored Missouri between Boone, Howard, Marion and Shelby counties in September of 1817. The two Foremans and Whaley were middle aged men, Adams and the Jr. Foreman were young men. Aaron chose land near the junction of H and HH about 10 miles east of Monroe City on the border of Ralls County. He married Rachel Fry in 1797 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William Fry and Rachel Spears. Their children were: [1]William F. Foreman, [2]Polly Foreman, [3]Alvin Foreman, [4]Betsy Foreman, [5]John P. B. Foreman.
