On Sunday, Mrs. Pleasant Anderson of Lone Tree, Bureau county, gave up her earthly life. She had been failing some time and her death results from feebleness, that comes of old age. Mrs. Anderson was a native of West Virginia, but had been a resident of Lone Tree the greater part of her life coming to Lone Tree coming to Bureau county, Illinois with her husband, Abram Anderson in an early day of the settlement of this country, and was one of those worthy pioneer women whose noble character generous hospitality, industry, many traits of womanhood, and the rearing of a fine family of sons and daughters, all contribute to her worth and nobleness. Having realized a competence, she and her husband enjoyed in the after life the comforts of frugality and well ordered lives. All their children are grown and will ever cherish their parents in blessed memory.
