The funeral of Miss Susan Anderson was held Monday forenoon at the Christian church in Putnam. Elder J F M Parker officiating.
The church was filled with sympathizing friends, every seat being taken.
The services were solemn but impressive.
Miss Anderson was a lady of very happy disposition, kindly, genial, loveable and companionable.
A protracted physical disability for a long series of years, while making her dependent, rendered her extremely patient and sweetened her life.
Latterly she was rendered helpless, and now as the body is laid to rest, it releases the spirit, and as we all believe, has entered upon the life that knows no pain, no fetters, no sorrow, no tears. It is a happy fruition out of all suffering.
She was the daughter of the late Abraham Anderson, beside whom she was laid, in the Putnam cemetery, who had preceded her to the spiritual world only a few months.
All will drop a tear over this new made grave, , feeling that the Lord does all things well, and in her case, after great trial and tribulation, has found a home with the blessed.
The pall bearers were Harry Finley, George Freer, Allen Moffitt, William Ball, Joseph Ball, and Harry Pettit.
