Myrtle G. Stanley

Myrtle Gertrude Stanley, 81, of Stanley died Aug. 9, 1992, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
Mrs. Stanley was born Aug15, 1910, in Page County and was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Maggie Lee Berry Tappy.
On Jan 15, 1936, she married Ernest David Stanley, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, ar seven sons, David, william and Larry Stanley, all of Stanley, Donald Stanley of Shenandoah and Wayne, Charles and Roy Dale Stanley, all of Luray; five daughters, Mary Moubray and Lois Breeden, both of Elkton, Barbara Lansberry and Geraldine Cave, both of Luray and Carolyn Huffman of Burke; two brothers, Hansel and Grover Tappy, both of Shenandoah; four sisters, Nellie Huffman of Luray and Annabelle McAllister, (misprint should have been Powers), Joyce Smith and Florine Sullivan, all of Shenandoah; 33 grandchildren: 18 Great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
Afuneral service was conducted Aug 12 at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by the Revs. Kenzy Reed and P. Hudson Nuckols. Burial was at the Seventh-Day Adventist Cemetery in Stanley.
