Gilpin, William G-Of two miles west of Taylorville, died at 4:10pm Thursday, April 25, 1957, at St Vincent's Hospital, age 77.

Survived by three sons, Herman, Springfield; George, Edinburgh; Chester, Sherman; seven daughters, Mrs Elsie Barnes, Taylorville; Mrs Flosie Akins, Coolidge, Ariz; Mrs Louise Brickles, Elkhart; Mrs Dora Hinrichs, New Berlin; Mrs Mary Clark, Chatham; Mrs Irene Crain and Mrs Elma Patricks, both of Mechanicsburg; brothers, Joe of Pawnee; David, Springfield; three sisters, Mrs Dotie Parsons, Springfield; Mrs Ollie Adams and Mrs Rosie Bryant, both of Tallula; 38 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Remains to Pearch & Seidel funeral home, where friends may call after 6pm Friday and where services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday. Burial in Bethel cemetery, Tallula.
