From the Bluffton News Banner, Weds., Oct. 26, 1955, P. 1, C. 4 - Wesley Swartz, 76, who resided four and one-half miles northwest of Bluffton, died unexpectedly about 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the office of a Bluffton physician following a heart attack. He was born March 6, 1879 in Darke County, OH to W. Henry and Jemima Swartz. Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Elwood (Jemima) Harshman, near Keystone, Mrs. Ralph (Nancy) Harshman, near Montpelier, Mrs. Wilbur (Jessie) Monnot, near Ossian, and Mrs, Jack (Polly) Dennis, near Bluffton.; two sons, John Swartz near Ft. Wayne and William Swartz, Fort Wayne; and three brothers, Ervin Swartz , Bluffton, and Dennis and George Swartz, Fort Wayne. The body is at the Elzey and Son Funeral home in Ossian where friends may call after 7 o'clock Wednesday. Funeral Services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery at Ossian.
