Mary E. Walz, 86, formerly of West Peoria, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria County.

Born March 6, 1922, in St. David, Ill., to Dominic and Clara (Bowcott) Nizzia, she married John Walz on July 22, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one daughter.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Lavern) Camp of Brimfield, Ill., and Angie Leach of Pekin, Ill. Also surviving are one sister, Darlene Hoeninger of Palatine, Ill.; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Walz of Morganfield, Ky., and Edweidyne Nizza of Pekin, Ill.

Entombment will be in Parkview Mausoleum's Chapel of Peace in Peoria.
