Mrs. Pearl Hendrix, 88, of 3007 Mayham Rd., Carrollton died last Thursday in the Carroll Healthcare Center following a lengthy illness. She was born April 26, 1895 in Monroe County, a daughter of the late John W. and Ara Dee (Shrieve) Moose. She was a member of Carrollton Church of Christ (Christian) and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Hendrix, who died in 1964, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include four sons, Chester and William, both of Carrollton, Kenneth of Bowerston and James of Apple Creek; five daughters, Mrs. George (Lavada) Miller and Mrs. Richard (Jeanie) Stevens, both of Carrollton, Ethel Kohler of New Rumley, Mrs. Paul (Ada) Finnicum of Freeport and Mrs. Ervin (Iverna) Etling of Ashtabula; a sister, Ida Forshey of Marietta: 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton with Rev. James Painting officiating. Burial was in Perrysville Cemetery.
