Neeses - Pearlsteen W. Hutto, 88, of Neeses, died Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, August 10, at Mount Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Henry Chavis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Pallbearers will be Henry H. Chavis Jr., David Tony Gleaton Jr., Linn Free, Blake Chavis, Don Hutto, and Nick Salley. Honorary escorts will be nephews. Mrs. Hutto was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Tillman and Isabel Hoover Williams. She was married to the late Raymond 'Pat' Hutto Sr. She was a member of Mount Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was active in the Women's Ministries. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Hutto, a grandson, Darryl Hutto, and great-grandson, Timmy Hutto. Survivors include two daughters, Vermelle (Henry) Chavis, and Joann (Tony) Gleaton, all of Neeses; two sons, Sammy Hutto, and Raymond (Shirley) Hutto Jr., all of Neeses; a sister, Pauline (Arthur) Chavis, of Orangeburg; three brothers, Basil (Mildred) Williams, of North, Edward (Melba) Williams, of Gaston, and Ted (Gaye) Williams, of Swansea; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the 380 Kendall Road, Neeses.
