Gaston-Funeral service for Edward Nelson "Red" Williams, 91, will be conducted 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Gaston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gaston Building Fund P. O. Box 309 Gaston, SC 29053. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
Mr. Williams went to be with his Savior on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Born in Orangeburg County, he was the son of the late Tillman and Isabell Williams. He retired from Aiken Electric Co-op with 34 years of service. Mr. Williams was a master electrician and self employed after his retirement.
Surviving include his children, Scott (Debbie) Williams, Phillip (Joyce) Williams, Farrell (Becky) Williams, Margaret (Tony Smith) Bryant, Wanda (Elvin) Jeffcoat, Linda (Harry) Bozard, and Keith (Debbie) Spires; son-in-law, Art Manos; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Red was predeceased by his wife, Melba S. Williams; and daughter, Miriam Manos.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lexington Medical Center for all of the wonderful care given to dad.
