Ruby M. Watton Grandstaff, 87, of Zanesville, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born December 30, 1920, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Ray and Lottie Garrett Watton. Ruby was a retired nurses aide at the Muskingum County Home and a member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Richard R. (Carolyn) Grandstaff of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Penny L. (Greg) Butler Kincheloe, Shawn J. (Pam) Butler, Vincent (Billie) Grandstaff and Ryan Grandstaff, all of Zanesville; eight great grandchildren and several nieces.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Grandstaff, who died February 8, 1978; a daughter, Phyllis M. Butler, who died in March 1996; a son in-law, James N. Butler; two sisters, Gladys Hiett and infant, Rosemary Watton and two brothers, Brooks Watton and Charles Watton.
