Mrs. Linda J Bare, 66, of Waynesville died Friday morning (July 18,2008) at her residence after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Brunswick, GA she was the daughter of Sherman Skipper and Ruby Gamble Skipper.

A member of the Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church, she was a member of The Red Hat Society, The Golden Isles Emmaus and Kairos Prison Ministry.

Preceded in death by her brother Sherman Skipper, and a sister; Geneva Smith.

Survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Wallace Bare, Sr., of Waynesville; four children and their spouse; Diana and David Drury of Camden; Wallace and Rhonda Bare, Jr.; of Waynesville; Phyllis Ryle of Hortense; Kelly and Kay Bare of Waynesville; 12 grandchildren; Dana Martino of Nahunta; Christen and Brian Crosby of Baxley; Tre Holley of Hortense; Brooke and Brad Joiner of Hortense; Joshua Gunn of Waynesville; Jesse and Ashley Bare of Waynesville; Daniel and Josh Ryle of Hortense; Allyson and Brandon Carter of Waycross; Kelleyann and Lacie Bare of Waynesville; 8 great grandchildren; Timothy Martino, Hunter Knox, Bailey and Nathaniel Middleton, Jordain and Judson Holley, Brody Joiner, and Bryse Crosby.; 1 brother and his wife; William and Ernestine Skipper of Brunswick; 3 sisters and their spouse; Mary and David Jackson of Brunswick; Louise Clifton of Brunswick; Allie and Marvin Carter of Waynesville; also sever nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 at Chambless- Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon (July 20, 2008) at 2 p.m. from The Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Emory Wilson and Rev. Larry Altman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Heavenly Bound Cemetery in Waynesville.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Edgy, Harold and David Butler, Clinton Sweat, Wallace Bare, Jr. and Steve Smith.
