Mrs Alice DICKEN DIES AT HER HOME AT CAMP 9
Mrs Alice Dicken, a native of California, and aged 63 years, died Tuesday at Camp 9 above Tuolumne. Mrs Dicken was an old resident of the East Belt section, where she was well known and highly esteemed. she was generous hearted and was a good angel to her neighbors in need or distress. She was the mother of a large family to whom she was devoted, all of whom have the sympathy of the people in their hour of sorrow.
Undertaker Burden directed the funeral this Friday afternoon from his chapel in Sonora, internment being in the IOOF cemetery. Many friends of the deceased gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to the deceased.
