Elder Joseph Call did not die in 1815 or in Perry Co., OH. He died in early 1825, Perry twp., Geauga Co., now Lake Co., OH. My documentation: a) Joseph Call was present in the 1820 US Census, (1820 US Census of Perry, Geauga Co., Ohio, p. 115); b) He married his nephew Deacon Asa Call to his widowed daughter Tryphena Call Howe, 25 Nov. 1823, Perry, Geauga Co., OH, "Asa Call & Tryphena Howe joined in Matrimony November 25th 1823 by Joseph Call Minister of the Gospel Recorded December 16th 1823 Edward Paine Jnr Clerk, Common Pleas (Ohio County Marriages, 1790-1950, vol. A, p. 241, FHL Film 873461, familysearch.org); c) Amanda Call Pease, great niece of Joseph Call, in her family book, had him dying in 1825; and d) Joseph Call married his second wife Anna Powers Call Nutting, 23 May 1820, Geauga Co., OH, ( Marriage Record of Elder Joseph Call and Mrs. Anna Nutling, both of Perry, Geauga Co., Ohio, 23 May 1820, Geauga Co., OH, Ohio, County Marriages, 1789-1997, database, Marriage Records 1806-1824, Vol. A, p. 135, image 69, FHL Film 873461, familysearch.org). Joseph Call was the son of Abigail Sprague and Samuel Call of Charlestown and Oxford, MA. He married Mary Sanderson, daughter of Benjamin Sanderson and Elizabeth Greene, 22 Oct. 1766, Leicester, Worcester Co., MA. He married Anna Powers, widow of his brother James, and Jacob Nutting, 23 May 1820, Geauga Co., OH, and was referred to as Elder Joseph Call at the time of his marriage to Anna. His death date was determined from the family book of Amanda Call Pease, his great-niece. Joseph was a veteran of the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War. He was also an elder of the Baptist Church and married many of his children and relatives in Vermont and Ohio. The Calls were long lived in Joseph's and children's generations. His son Rufus died at the age of 99.

Known children: a) Azuba "Zuba" (1767-1822), who was married to her cousin Asa Call; b) Rufus (1769-1869), who was married to Lydia Killbourn Ellis; c) Cyrus (1772-1860), who was married to Sarah Abigail Cross; d) Tryphenia (1775-c. 1865), who was married to Joseph Howe and her sister's widower, Asa Call; e) Mary (1779-c. 1855), who was married to Lemuel Ellis; f) Joseph, Jr. (1783-1813), who was married to Louisa Evans; and g) Cyril Call (1785-1873), who was married to Sarah "Sally" Tiffany.

Samuel Call and Abigail Sprague had TWO children named Joseph. The first, born at Charlestown on 11 Feb 1725/6, probably died young. The second, THIS Joseph, was born at Oxford,Mass in 1742, and he was the Joseph who died in Ohio.
