Joint services for Gilbert S. Shumaker, 52, and his wife, Anna Eileen ,43, of 3991 S. Huron St., will be at 10:00 am Thursday at Bullock Mortuary, 1375 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood, CO. Burial will be in Littleton Cemetery.

The couple was killed Sunday (July 28, 1968) when their plane crashed into Bison Mountain, about 27 miles east of Fairplay, CO.

Mr. Shumaker was born in Novinger, MO on January 27, 1916, the son of Pearl Clifton and Sylvia Rae Shumaker. The couple were married August 21, 1943 in Edina, MO and moved to the Englewood address in April 1949.

Mr. Shumaker was a sheet metal worker for Natkin & Company at the time of his death.

The couple is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sandra A. Gibbon and Mrs. Sharon E. Butler, both of Englewood.

Mr. Shumaker also is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sylvia Shumaker and a brother, Harold Shumaker, both of Novinger. His father preceded him in death in 1957.
