Harold Lloyd Shumaker, 61, of Novinger, passed away Tuesday morning (March 27, 1984) in the Grim-Smith Hospital where he had been a patient since March 20.

The son of Pearl and Sylvia Smith Shumaker, he was born May 18, 1922, Kirksville, Missouri. On November 7, 1943 he married Willadean Adkins in Kirksville. Besides his wife, surviving are one son, Paul Eugene Shumaker and three grandsons, Brian, Kail and Joshua.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one brother, Gilbert Shelton Shumaker.

Mr. Shumaker attended school in Kirksville. He spent most of his life in the Kirksville and Novinger area where he worked in construction.

During World War II, Mr. Shumaker served with the United States Army.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon (March 29, 1984) in the chapel of Foster-Fohn Memorial Home. The Rev. Archie Cooper will conduct the services. Music will be provided by Dianthe Cable, organist and Mary Weets, soloist. The selection will be, "The Old Rugged Cross." Burial will be in the Novinger Cemetery .

Casket bearers will be: Harold Baker, Terry Baker, John Sanford, J. D. Miller, Marion Miller and Jack Pickett.
