Sidney Irwin or Irvin Quinn was a son of Robert Quinn and his wife Lula Hawkins, born in Cherryville, NC. In 1917, he was living in Manhattan, NY (per his WW I registration card). He was in Charlotte, NC in 1920, and in Palm Beach, Florida in 1930. He was a painter for an interior decorating firm. He was living in Charlotte in 1934, and died of tuberculosis at the Huntersville Hospital.

Sidney was married to Ida Lessia Starnes (1893-1989), a daughter of Emsley Valentine Starnes/Stearns (1859-1920) and his wife Nancy Jane Dulin (1862-1918). They had at least two children: Nancy O. Quinn and Melvin Joseph Quinn (1921-2008, m. Jannette Cogdell). Ida was living in Elgin, SC in 1966. She died in Volusia County, Florida, and is buried at the Blaney Baptist Church, Kershaw Co., SC, Find A Grave #80213683, along with their son, Melvin, Find A Grave # 51343291 Nancy was still living at the time her brother passed away in 2008.

Ida's uncle was Dulin Benson Stearns (1863-1962) buried here, my great grandfather.
