Illmo, July 31 - Funeral services for Albert Ramsey, 62 years old, of Chester, Ill., who died early Saturday at the home of Forest McCormick of Illmo, were held this afternoon. Rev. M.A. Garrison, Methodist minister of Fornfelt, was in charge. The body was at the Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Illmo until time for the funeral servies, and burial was in the Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
Mr. Ramsey had been visiting in the McCormick home for two months preceding his death, caused by a cancer. He was born Sept. 4, 1882, in Cape County. He lived in Cape Girardeau until he married Miss Mary Weekly of Commerce, and lived in Commerce until her death 24 years ago. Then he came to Illmo, and moved to Chester 10 years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Edward and Benjamin Ramsey of Chester, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Ebbs and Miss Eula Ramsey of Chester, and Mrs. Ruby Jessie of Caseyville, Ill.; three brothers, B.E. Ramsey and R.A. Ramsey of Cape Girardeau and Charles Ramsey of Illmo; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Oguin of Illmo and Mrs. Della Weatherford of Cape Girardeau, and eight grandchildren.
