Obituary: Mrs. Earl Thompson: Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home for Mrs. Earl Thompson, 78, Madison, who died Wednesday night at a Sioux Falls nursing home. Luvernie Langford was born May 19, 1896, in Glades, Tenn. In 1912, she moved to Fowler, Ind., where she married Earl Thompson Dec. 21, 1913. In 1914, they moved to Bryant, S.D. and in 1916 to Sioux Falls. They moved to Madison in 1958. Surviviors include the widower; six daughter, Mrs. John Wetzel, Parker, Ariz.; Mrs. Melvin Helberg, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Henry Brandt, Hartford; Mrs. Virgil Hansler, Vivian; Mrs. Don Wingert, Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Chester Murphey, Sioux Falls; a son, Virgil, Sioux Falls; 31 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren.
