Born March 17, 1922 in Grampian she was the daughter of William and Nadine (Rowles) Turner. She was homemaker and Baptist by faith.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years William J. Hoover, 5 children Harry Peoples and his wife Donna of Topeka KS, William Peoples and his wife Nancy of Norfolk VA, Betty Norris and her husband Moses of Berwindale, Virginia Morris and her husband Richard of Curwensville, and Mickey Hoover of Curwensville and his friend Joyce Fletcher of Hyde. A son in law William Stoy of Asheville, PA, 19 Grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. And a brother Robert Turner of Grampian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Vera Peggy (Peoples) Stoy, 4 brothers Rex, John, Norman "Buck", and Duke Turner, and 3 sisters Sylvia Barrett, Helen London, and Ess Riddle.
Services for Hazel Hoover will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Thursday July 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Douglas A. Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Wednesday July 2, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 9 till the time of service at 11:00 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Foundation for Home Health Hospice Clearfield Hospital PO Box 992 Clearfield PA 16830.
