N. J. ALLEN, 72, DIES IN AUSTIN

N. J. Allen, 72, who had lived in Sweetwater and Palava since 1918, died Tuesday in Austin, where he had been for the past year.

The body was being returned to Sweetwater Wednesday in a Cate-Spencer coach, and funeral services will be held sometime Thursday.

Mrs. Allen lived at Palava, where two of the Allen daughters, Mrs. H. H. Rudd and Mrs. L. E. Blake, also live.

There are three other surviving daughters, Mrs. Vernon Brumfield of near Longworth, Mrs. W. T. Bishop of 800 West Third Street and Mrs. Winnona Sutton of Fort Worth. A sister, Mrs. Lou Stamps, lives in Oklahoma City.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen were married in Hunt County. They lived in Sweetwater for about five years of their residence in this area and in Palava for the remainder of the time.

Cate-Spencer Funeral Home will be in charge of funeral arrangements.
