Obit reads:
Ethel May Martin Fox, 85 of Belpre, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 8,2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Liverpool, WV on July 28,1921, the daughter of the late Ira R. Martin and Jennie Geraldine Lincicome Martin. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 53 years, Roy Lawson Fox Sr. She was a homemaker and seamstress, quilter, and outstanding cook.
Mrs. Fox had lived in Belpre for the last 17 years, but had lived and raised her family in Belleville, WV. where she was a member of the Belleville United Methodist Church and active in the Farm Woman's Club. She also supported the 4-H Club when her children were growing up.
She attended the Rockland United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Mary-Martha Circle. She was active in the Belpre Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses:Roy L. Fox Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Belleville, WV, Gary F. Fox Sr. and his wife Karen of Belleville, Patricia Hetzer and husband Ed of Belpre, and Katie Tharp and husband Phil of Richmond, Va. She also has nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Frashier of Parkersburg, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services will be on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 2:00 at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Reverend Jack Berry officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-9 PM and up to service time on Tuesday.
