Martha Laverne Frashier, 100, of Parkersburg died March 18, 2020 at the Willows Center in Parkersburg. She was born on September 14, 1919, in Jackson County and was the daughter of the late Ira R. and Jennie Lincicome Martin.

Martha retired from the Union Insulators and was a longtime member of the Broadway Baptist Church and of the Wood County Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles as a Golden Eagle. She enjoyed square dancing, watching and feeding birds, embroidering and quilting.

Martha is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Frashier; three grandchildren, Pamela (Bruce) Bigley, Lisa (Steven) Nutter, Chris Frashier; great grandchildren, Brandon, Casey (Aubrey), Ryan Bigley, Bret (Drew), Bradi, Stevie Nutter, Josh Bigley, great great grandchildren Kaden, Chevy, Brant and Carsley; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Tracy Taylor and caregivers at the Willows Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Melvin Frashier; three brothers, Richard, Melvin and Ted; four sisters, Ruby, Ethel, Mary and Edna.

Private funeral services will be held due to the ongoing health concerns for the community.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
