Mary E. Allen, 81, of Blairsville RD 2, died Tuesday, July.29,1997, at St. Andrew's Village; Indiana. The daughter of Ira and Jennie Lincicome Martin, she was ~ born March 8, 1916, in Jackson County, W.Va. Mrs. Alien was a homemaker and member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Blairsville. Surviving are two daughters: Shirley A. Hapsic, Blairsville, and Mrs. Richard (Mary Elizabeth) Taylor, Blairsviile RD 2; two sons: Jerry M. Allen and wife, Peggy, Blairsville RD, and Dennis-Dale Allen and wife, Gail, Lititz; two sisters: Martha. Frashier, Parkersburg, W.Va, and Ethel Fox, Belpre, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Gladys and Clark Briinner and families. • She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth W. Allen, who died in 1991; a son, Preston Louis Allen, who • died in 1975; three brothers: Richard Martin, Harry Ted Martin and Melvin Martin; and two sisters: Ruby West and Edna Barghausen.
