Births
This has been Dr. Clem Jones busy day. He reports the following births:
A son to Mr. and Mrs. Ed McCumber, 13th and Bellevue.
A son to Mr. and Mrs. Bob [Geo. Washington, Jr.] Jenkins 25th and Main.
The Galena Evening Times
(Galena, Kansas)

Note: This seems to possibly be Uncle Harve, except they said he was born on 25th and Main street.
The address for them now would be on Southwest corner of 23rd and Short St. if he was born where they were living.
Short street is still not open going north or south. Twenty-fourth street still isn't a city street open on both sides of Main.

Harvey Jenkins suffered the loss of his little finger and may lose another, the result of an injury received Monday. Jenkins and Joe Dauffet (sic) [Douffet] were cutting wood on some land just south of town and had put down their tools preparing to leave. Jenkins reached for his coat and in some manner the axe fell on his hand, severing the little finger and cutting the forefinger so badly that it may be necessary to have it amputated. He was taken to the office of Dr. F. L. McKinney where the wound was dressed.
