John Edward Busse of Sullivan, Mo., formerly of Pacific, July 13, 1915 in St Louis, the son of the late John D Busse & Nellie Wilma Cowan. He was united in marriage to Ruby E Green on May 29, 1936. Eleven children came to bless this union. John departed this life at Sullivan, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Busse, of Sullivan,Mo., by 3 sons: John Busse & wife Ruth of Leslie,Mo., Wayne Busse & wife Marie of Sullivan,Mo., Ed Busse & wife Patricia of Labadie,Mo., by 7 daughters: Joyce Ohlendorf & husband John of Waterloo, Il., Alice June Horton & husband Melvin of Phoenix, Az., Georgia Jeanne Ahlers & husband William of Eureka, Mo., Ruby Susan Busse of Sullivan, Mo., Joni Lou Siewell & husband Matt of Albany, OR., by one brother: Carl Busse of Green River, WY., by 4 sisters: Gertrude Cox of St Clair, Mo., Lena Payne of Springfield, Mo., Estella Wideman of Sullivan, Mo., Eileen Gauer of Sullivan,Mo., one half-brother: Louis V Busse of Moselle, Mo., 2 half-sisters: Kate Engelken & husband Charles of St Clair, Mo., Lucille Mullis and husband Fred of St Clair, Mo., 33 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Herman Busse, 1 child Alton C Busse, 1 grandchild Veronica Pilger.
John was a member of Pacific Baptist Church. He and his family lived in Pacific, Mo., for about 50 yrs and had moved to Sullivan about 7 yrs ago. He owned & operated John E Busse Excavating Co. in Pacific, Mo. Since his retirement John had enjoyed raising beef cattle & farming. His family was dear to his heart.
Funeral services were helf 2:00 pm Thursday Apr 15, 1993 at Russell Coloniel Funeral Home in St Clair, Mo. Rev Harold Harrison officiating. Interment at Anaconda Cemetery.
