Eileen Harriet "Ikey" Gauer, 74, of Sullivan, passed away Sat. Sept. 6, 2003, in Sullivan. Mrs. Gauer was born Aug 20, 1929 in Sullivan, to parents John D Busse & Nellie W Cowan.
On Feb 28, 1946, Ikey was united in marriage to Wilbert Gauer.
She was a member of the St Clair VFW Ladies Aux Post 2482.
During her working years she was employed at Deb Shoe & St Clair Die Casting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Helen Gauer, her ex-husband Wilbert Gauer, four brothers, Louis, Carl, Herman, and John E Busse, two sisters, Gertrude Cox, and Lena Payne, one half sister, Katherine Engelken, her step mother Nellie Hedgcoth, and one grandson Bobby Gauer.
Mrs. Gauer is survived by two sons, Danny Gauer & wife Lana, Dennis Gauer, all of Sullivan, five grandchildren, Angie Berti, Jeanette Hofstetter, Nick Gauer, Shaun Gauer Justin Gauer, 8 grandchildren, Brooke Batolotta, Damon Berti, Austin Berti, Justin Berti, Bobby Hofstetter, Kearstin Hofstetter, Austin Gauer, one sister, Estella Wideman, one half sister Lucille Mullis, 2 step sisters Nora Weekes, Dorothy Fisher, many relatives & friends.
Funeral Services were held Tues. Sep 9, at Russell Funeral Home in St Clair. with Rev. Bill Lewis officiating. Interment at Anaconda Cemetery.
