Willis Pearl Lovelace, a resident of Rockton nearly all his life, died at 10 o'clock last night at a Rockford hospital after an illness of three months. He was 70 years old.
Mr. Lovelace was born Sept. 8, 1870, at Pecatonica, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Lovelace. He was married to Jessie Morehouse of Beloit, who died 10 years ago.
Survivors are a son, Ivan, Chicago; six daughters, Mrs. Paul Spacey, Shirland, Mrs. Louis Charbonneau, Rockford, Mrs. Robert Bennett, Beloit, Mrs. Everett Alm, Mrs. Winifred Garber and Mrs. Dorothy Groth, all of Chicago; a brother, Amos, Rockton; a sister, Mrs. Susan Woodburn, Rockford, and eight grandchildren. A daughter and a grandson precede him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Old Stone church, Rockton. The Rev. Claude Warren will officiate. Burial will be in the Rockton cemetery.
