Harvey A. Dellinger, 76, of Red Lion died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. He was the husband of Phyllis V. (Kling) Dellinger to whom he was married for 55 years.

Born June 30, 1931 in Fairfax County, VA a son of the late George A. and Ella [Kibwell] Dellinger, he retired as a professional upholster from Thonet and had also worked for Zell Brothers. He was a member of Bittersville U.M. Church where he taught Sunday school, was a member of Yorkanna Game and Gunning Club, Red Lion VFW and American Legion, and was a former Boy Scout leader. Mr. Dellinger enjoyed gardening, fishing, and will be remembered for his love and dedication as a husband, father, and grandfather. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War where he earned two bronze stars.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dellinger is survived by a daughter, Tina M. and husband Clark P. Craumer of Abbottstown; a son, David M. and wife Deirdre J. Dellinger of York; five grandchildren, Jessica L. and Jon M. Urey, Daniel M., Devon L., and Drew M. Dellinger; a sister, Julia A. Dellinger Smallwood of Martinsville, VA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, George E., Lawrence Edward, John P., Leonard W., and Richard A. Dellinger, Sr.; five sisters, Emma J. Groff, Clara M. Cornell, Lillian E. Dellinger, Dorothy L. True, and an infant who died at birth; and two stepsisters, Thelma F. Jacobs-Smith and Leota R. Bonbrake.

Burial will be in Salem Community Cemetery with a Flag Folding Ceremony provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard.
